rant. When people can’t mind their own business.

If there was anything I learnt from my previous relationships, it’s not to let people in on mine and my boyfriend’s problems cause some “friends” will end up judging.

I seriously hate it when people base their opinions on what they SEE rather than what they actually KNOW, and for sure they know very LITTLE about my relationship. They tend to see it as my boyfriend always having to be the one who follows me around when we fall out and I end up looking like the bad one. When in fact they shouldn’t even have a say when they don’t know the actual reasons behind it.

It frustrates me how some people, specifically those who aren’t particularly close but they still refer to themselves as ‘real friends’ say something about my relationship that the know fuck all about. Yeah they might see the problems but it’s not enough to become a topic. What’s more annoying is how some say they’re only ‘concerned’ .. Yeah so how is talking about the issue behind my back any form of concern? Why don’t you ask me straight up about it? If you can’t, then we’re obviously not close enough for you to make my personal life a topic for discussion.

Talk is cheap, so that’s all people seem to do nowadays.
I really wish some had more common sense. It really is a shame.

Let’s get this straight.

What I was basically trying to say was that it’s a shame that some people only seem to feel good/accepted when they wear the “hype” shiz to get the attention on this site. Yeah by that I mean things like snapbacks, don’t tell me that some of y’all don’t get all excited when you see one or wear one. It’s a cap on your head.. If you want something on your head, try wearing and showing off  some knowledge. Knowledge is way more impressive than your so called ‘swag’ .. Oh and it doesn’t cost anything, unlike overpriced Obey shiz.. or those overrated ‘cool story bro’ sweaters.

You know what’s a cool story? People who actually don’t care about society’s influence.

Mini rant. hmm.

Not gonna lie, I was such a Tumblr addict back then. I remember first getting Tumblr back in 2009 and gettin’ all hyped cause the things I saw were awesome, the blogs people wrote were inspiring/interesting and it’s such a good place to vent. This site really held my attention.

2010 - half way through 2011, I started noticing a lot of ‘swag’ shit. From Obey snapbacks, to the countless number of Jordans people flaunted. I didn’t mind since people are gonna post what people wanna post. But ever since then it just became about who’s best dressed, who takes the clearest pictures. Which by the way is annoying cause if I had an DSLR camera I wouldn’t waste it just to take pictures of myself. I’d use that shiz to go out in the world and see it through a lens and get all creative, y’know?

I see a lot of people I know from here who pretty much are just trying to impress people online by wearing hype beast stuff. Like y’know the whole button it up all the way to the neck, snapbacks, vans, chinos etc. Okay yeah, they’re alright stuff and you can do you. But don’t act like you’re being original when you’re pretty much wearing the same shit as everyone else.

Don’t claim that you have swag just because you wear snapbacks or whatever.Don’t claim you have swag just cause you beg people to reblog you and get the notes you want. Smh.

I miss tumblr when it was used to EXPRESS, not IMPRESS. Oh and to the younger generation who’s joining the so called swag hype, go focus on your education first. Stop taking pics of yourselves for the sake of posting it on Tumblr, hoping to get the attention and reblogs. It’s not gonna pay your bills in the future.
